Blame it on the window well.

The last storm blew lots of debris around my yard that ended up in one of my basement’s window wells. With all the bad weather, I hadn’t been outside in a while, or I would have noticed the clog that was allowing rainwater to stand in the well and seep into my basement through the window well. I went downstairs to inspect my basement and found the water damage. All of my cardboard storage boxes and furniture were standing in water!

I called SERVPRO of Baldwin and Monroe, and they came out and assessed the problem and immediately began the cleanup and restoration process. Fortunately, it ended up being an easy repair. They moved and cleaned, deodorized, and sanitized all of the contents of my basement and set up drying machines and air blowers to remove the excess moisture from the room. They fixed the window well and documented the drying process and helped me with the insurance paperwork. Now you would never know there had been any water damage in my basement.
